My name is Pam. I once read on a wall plaque, “ I am never more myself than when I am down on paper.” My first reaction to seeing those words was , “Yes. Amen. That is who I am.”
There are many things I love to do. I love being out in nature. I love a good bike ride. I love water in almost any form. I love backpacking with friends. I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I also love spending time alone. I love teaching students the art of writing. I love those points of clarity when God reveals something about Himself (or about me) and there is that transcendent moment of simplicity where I just know.
But when it comes to the unguarded (this is a work in progress) expression of who I really am, well, this usually requires pulling back the veil of my soul and committing what I find there to the wit, wisdom, whimsy, and wonder of words exposed to print. And I love this, too. It compels, invites, and, sometimes, forces me to offer the gift of myself as God has fashioned me in His image. And perhaps, to my awe and joy, He may reveal a portion of His heart through my words.

My Life As A Tree was thoughtful ! Thankful to “ask and listen”.
